The 35 mini is designed for smaller boats (16' - 18') that run in mud and heavy vegetation. The Mini HD 35 and 23 is a specialized mud motor that has extra long reach with a 32" drive that digs in for superior traction.  This model is very popular in southern states where durability, toughness and superior mud running performance is required.
